Embark on an exciting journey through time to the authentic sites of mining history. Immerse yourself in the life and work of the miners: the mine train takes you underground, to the miners' workplace on site.
On the well-paved, easy-to-walk paths of our herb park you can explore the variety of local and exotic herbs and spices. We have lovingly arranged countless varieties of sage, lavender, lemon balm, mint, thyme and hyssop in the so-called plant nurseries.
Our spice gallery with 1500 spices and herbs exudes a spicy aroma. We present herbs & spice mixtures from all over the world with a wide range of applications. Here you will find the right thing for your medicine cabinet. Please also use our infothek.
Discover over 350 home-made spice mixtures from China, Tibet, Malaysia, India, Chile and the Caribbean. Furthermore, you can purchase healthy medicinal herbs, tea mixtures, incense, resins and gums. You will also find home-made spice oils and vinegars, our own herbal liqueurs, honey varieties and suggestions for natural cosmetics.
In the herbal park Altenau you will also find many quite exotic plants. What does a real Indian nettle look like? Or a hyssop bush? Go with us on the search for the exotic. They are true rarities, which you can only rarely see. It is worth it in any case.
In the spice pagoda the exciting history as well as all spices of the world are presented in a tour. From April to October we have a big plant sale!
