Wurmberg cable car

Down by ski, up by cable car

Our daily opening hours:

Wurmberg cable car in operation daily, more information can be found on our homepage.

The highest mountain in Lower Saxony offers numerous winter sports opportunities for families, athletes and connoisseurs at an altitude of almost 1000 m!

The Wurmberg cable car leads directly from Braunlage in two sections up the mountain. Freestyle terrain, alpine ski slopes, toboggan runs, cross-country ski trails and winter hiking trails ensure that you can experience winter on the Wurmberg in all its diversity.

From the Hexenritt the 4-seater chairlift Hexenexpress also aims at the 971 m high summit. A technical snowmaking system ensures wonderful skiing pleasure. 100 snow lances and cannons ensure snow safety on the 16.3 hectares of ski slopes.

The summer highlight for sports enthusiasts are the fat-tired monster scooters. On our 4500 m long track you can whizz down to the valley station. Downhill enthusiasts can let off steam in our large bike park on several tracks up to 4500 m long.

For the little ones there are petting animals and a mountain adventure world on the summit with adventure playgrounds and water fun. In the Wurmbergalm on the mountain summit or the toboggan house next to the cable car mid-station you can relax with a delicious snack before enjoying nature on wonderful hiking trails.
